Some of the common topics and question that you can expect to encounter in your speaking test part 1 are given below for your preparation for the test. Well, currently, I have two roommates sharing the same apartment with me.
Question 2:- What is your favourite room in your home?
It’s a nice place to live since the rent is dirt cheap for a young guy like me. Plus, my workplace is literally a stone’s throw away from there, which is the main reason why I’ve been living there for a long time. I really hit the jackpot finding this place. Please remember that in the actual test you should give honest answers and talk about your own experiences, thoughts, feelings and opinions. Do not try to memorise answers, as the examiners will probably be able to guess and you will lose marks.
Yes I know the history of my country pretty well! The name ‘India’ is derived from the River Indus, the valleys around which were the home of the early settlers. India invented the game of Chess years back and called it Chaturang , meaning 4 members of one army. It was extended later to make 11 members of one army and is the modern-day Chess as we all know. If I would be given an opportunity to relocate to a new part of India, then that place would definitely be Kerala – the god’s own country!

I live on the first floor and this room is comparatively smaller than other rooms. It is a south-facing room with a beautiful garden and lake view. You know, the air is severely polluted due to a massive amount of exhaust fumes released from private vehicles into the atmosphere every day.

It is in the heart of the city with all facilities available at a short distance. The peculiar feature of my flat is the cross ventilation. For instance, if I'm in a meeting or in a crowded place, I would prefer SMS than phone calls. Moreover, if I need to send an address, a number or an email ID, I would rather send a text message than to call the intended recipient.
It’s a high-rise apartment so I guess there are a couple hundred people living in it. Honestly, even though I’ve been living there a while, I’ve only gotten to know the neighbor girl living across the hallway. She is a teacher at a primary school nearby.
The purpose behind doing this is to create an environment of study in my house. Recently, my mother could not prepare anything for lunch because she was hardly involved in her work. Unlike other families in town, we don’t watch TV very often, at least I don’t watch TV so we never sit together in the living room. Dinner is the only time of day that we all sit together and enjoy our meals. I live with one of my coworkers, who was also my college friend. We share the rent and other expenses like electricity and water, so it’s not really expensive.
